An EdTech startup from Indore running small-batch live classes for JEE, NEET and board exams, with AI practice that adapts to each student's weak topics.

At a glance

  1. The company

    This startup runs small-batch live classes for JEE, NEET and board exams from Indore.

  2. Why we back it

    Strong coaching shouldn't require leaving home.

  3. The problem it solves

    Every year, more than twenty lakh students sit NEET and more than ten lakh sit JEE Main.

  4. How the product works

    Students join live classes from the app on Android, iPhone or the web.

  6. What FIRELIFE built

    A FIRELIFE engineering team works inside the startup's product team.

  7. How we work together

    FIRELIFE engineers plan and ship alongside the founders every week.

  8. Where it stands today

    The startup runs JEE and NEET batches from Indore for students across Madhya Pradesh, on its own platform, with AI practice and weekly parent reports in place.

  9. What's next

    Foundation courses for Classes 9 and 10 are next, so students build strong basics before exam preparation begins, followed by Hindi-medium batches for state board students across Madhya Pradesh.

The company

This startup runs small-batch live classes for JEE, NEET and board exams from Indore. Its teachers have prepared students for these exams for years, and teach in Hindi and English together, the way students across Madhya Pradesh speak and think.

Every class is small enough for the teacher to see every face, ask questions and clear doubts as they come up. Between classes, AI practice works on each student’s weakest topics, and parents get a clear weekly report.

Why we back it

Strong coaching shouldn’t require leaving home. Founders who know exactly where students struggle, a clear need in every smaller city, and a product that needed engineering speed: that is what we back.

The problem it solves

Every year, more than twenty lakh students sit NEET and more than ten lakh sit JEE Main. For students in Bhopal, Ujjain, Jabalpur, Sagar or Rewa, preparation usually means a hard choice:

  • move away to a coaching hub, with the cost of hostels and the strain of living alone at sixteen;
  • join a huge online batch, where hundreds watch the same lecture and few ever ask a question;
  • or study alone, without anyone to say what they are getting wrong.

Many of these students studied in Hindi until Class 10, and lose confidence when coaching switches entirely to English. Their parents, often far from the coaching world, have little idea how their child is really doing.

How the product works

Students join live classes from the app on Android, iPhone or the web. Batches are small, the teacher can hear and see students, and doubts are cleared in class or in doubt sessions straight after.

After every class and test, the AI practice engine sets questions on exactly the topics each student finds hard. Every question is tagged to its NCERT chapter and exam topic, so the engine knows what each student has mastered and what they haven’t. Mistakes are explained step by step. Students can photograph a problem from any book to ask a doubt, and teachers review any answer the AI isn’t sure about.

Weekly tests and full-length mock tests run in the same computer-based format as the real exams. Parents get a report on WhatsApp every week.

Built for smaller cities

Mobile networks in smaller towns are not always strong, so the live classroom has a low-bandwidth mode that keeps the teacher’s voice and board clear when video can’t keep up. Class recordings can be downloaded to watch offline, and study material is available in Hindi and English.

What FIRELIFE built

A FIRELIFE engineering team works inside the startup’s product team. Together we built:

  • the live classroom, with the teacher’s board, small-batch video and the low-bandwidth mode;
  • the question bank and the AI that tags each question to the syllabus;
  • the practice engine that tracks how well each student knows each topic;
  • tests in the real exam format, with analysis by topic;
  • the parent reports and the teacher dashboard.

How we work together

FIRELIFE engineers plan and ship alongside the founders every week. Once a month, we review product, results and spending together, and decide what comes next. The founders lead teaching and students; we lead the technology.

Where it stands today

The startup runs JEE and NEET batches from Indore for students across Madhya Pradesh, on its own platform, with AI practice and weekly parent reports in place.

What’s next

Foundation courses for Classes 9 and 10 are next, so students build strong basics before exam preparation begins, followed by Hindi-medium batches for state board students across Madhya Pradesh.

Questions and answers

10 answered

What does this Indore EdTech startup do?

It is an EdTech startup from Indore, backed by FIRELIFE Ventures. It runs small-batch live classes for JEE, NEET and board exams, taught in Hindi and English by experienced teachers, with AI practice between classes and progress reports for parents.

How is a small-batch live class different from a large online batch?

In a small batch, the teacher can see every student, ask questions and clear doubts during the class. In large online batches, hundreds of students watch the same lecture and few get a chance to ask anything.

How does AI practice help students prepare for JEE and NEET?

After every class and test, the AI works out which topics each student finds hard and sets practice questions on exactly those topics. It explains mistakes step by step, and teachers review any doubt the AI isn't sure about.

Can students study from smaller cities without moving to a coaching hub?

Yes. That is why the startup exists. Students in cities such as Bhopal, Ujjain, Jabalpur, Sagar and Rewa join live classes from home, with the same teachers, tests and doubt-solving.

Are classes taught in Hindi?

Classes are taught in Hindi and English together, the way most students in Madhya Pradesh speak and think, and study material is available in both.

Do the tests match the real exam?

Yes. Weekly and full-length tests run in the same computer-based format as the NTA's JEE Main and the timing of NEET, so students practise the real exam experience.

What if a student's internet is weak?

The app has a low-bandwidth mode that keeps the teacher's audio and board clear even on a weak mobile network, and class recordings can be downloaded to watch offline.

What do parents see?

Parents get a weekly progress report on WhatsApp, in Hindi or English, with attendance, test scores, strong and weak topics, and a note from the teacher.

What does FIRELIFE Ventures bring to the startup?

Investment, an engineering team that works inside the startup, the AI behind the adaptive practice, product design, cloud infrastructure, and a monthly review of product and spending with the founders.

Can other startups pitch to FIRELIFE Ventures?

Yes. Founders with a working product and early customers can pitch through the contact page, choosing Pitch my startup.
