The company
This startup builds salon and spa software for independent salons, spas and beauty studios. It runs the whole day: online booking, the front desk, GST billing, staff commissions, memberships and packages, product stock and every client’s history.
An AI receptionist on WhatsApp answers clients and books appointments at any hour, so the salon never misses a booking because the phone was busy.
Why we back it
Software built for one trade wins when it runs that trade’s whole day. Salons are an enormous market that general software serves badly, and these founders built the product from real front desks: that is what we back.
The problem it solves
Most independent salons run on a register, a phone and WhatsApp. Appointments live in a diary, clients message at midnight and get a reply the next afternoon, and the front desk juggles walk-ins with the phone.
General billing software misses what salons need every day:
- appointments by stylist and chair, and how long each service takes;
- staff commissions that differ by service, product and target;
- memberships and prepaid packages, used visit by visit;
- the colour, treatments and products used on each client.
So owners keep separate notebooks for commissions and packages, and lose track of clients who quietly stop coming.
How the product works
Clients book online from a link on Google, Instagram or WhatsApp, choosing a service and a stylist. The calendar shows every stylist and chair, with each service’s real duration, so double bookings can’t happen.
At the front desk, bills are created with GST in a few taps, products are sold alongside services, and payment is taken by UPI, card or cash. Each bill records who did the work, so commissions are worked out automatically. Memberships and packages are drawn down visit by visit, and products used in services, such as colour and treatments, come off stock along with retail sales.
Every client has a profile with their history: services, colour formulas, skin and hair notes, allergies and preferences, ready for the next visit.
The AI receptionist
Clients message the salon on WhatsApp at any hour. The AI receptionist answers questions about services and prices, books, moves or cancels appointments with the right stylist, and sends reminders before each visit.
It also brings clients back: when it has been six weeks since a haircut or a colour, it sends a friendly reminder with a link to book. Anything unusual goes to the staff with the conversation attached.
What FIRELIFE built
A FIRELIFE engineering team builds the product with the startup’s team. We built the AI receptionist and the WhatsApp integration, and designed self-serve sign-up, so a salon can import its client list and set up services, staff and prices on its own in an afternoon, without a sales call.
How we work together
The founders lead salons, sales and support; FIRELIFE leads the technology. Our engineers plan and ship with the startup every week, and we review product, sign-ups and spending with the founders every month.
Where it stands today

What’s next

What does this Pune salon software startup do?
It is a vertical SaaS startup from Pune, backed by FIRELIFE Ventures. It builds software for independent salons and spas: online booking, GST billing, staff commissions, memberships and packages, product stock and client history, with an AI receptionist on WhatsApp.
What is vertical SaaS?
Vertical SaaS is subscription software built for one kind of business, such as salons, rather than for every business. It fits that trade's daily work closely, so owners don't have to bend general software to their needs.
How does the AI receptionist on WhatsApp work?
Clients message the salon on WhatsApp at any hour. The AI answers questions about services and prices, books, moves or cancels appointments in the salon's calendar with the right stylist, and passes anything unusual to the staff.
How are staff commissions calculated?
Each stylist's commission is set per service, per product or against monthly targets. Every bill records who did the work, so commissions are worked out automatically at the end of the month.
Can salons sell memberships and prepaid packages?
Yes. Salons sell memberships with discounts and prepaid packages, such as a set of facials or hair spas. Each visit is drawn from the package, and clients see their balance on WhatsApp.
Does it track products used in services?
Yes. Products used during services, such as hair colour and treatments, are deducted from stock along with products sold at the counter, so the salon knows what it uses and what to reorder.
Can clients book from Google and Instagram?
Yes. Each salon gets a booking page that can be linked from its Google Business Profile, Instagram and WhatsApp, and bookings land straight in the salon's calendar.
Can a salon set itself up without help?
Yes. Salons sign up, import their client list and set up services, staff and prices on their own, usually in an afternoon.
What does FIRELIFE Ventures bring to the startup?
An engineering team that works inside the startup, the AI receptionist and WhatsApp integration, product design, and help with self-serve sign-up and onboarding.
Can other startups pitch to FIRELIFE Ventures?
Yes. Founders with a working product and early customers can pitch through the contact page, choosing Pitch my startup.
